Britain’s Bentley Motors, and the watch firm Breitling have had the longest partnership between an automobile manufacturer, and a watch brand, in marketing history. The partnership dates back to 2003. That was the year that Bentley released its first Continental GT, and Brietling was tasked to make the car’s on board timepiece. So it is at this time that Breitling is announcing the launch of the Breitling Bemtley Centenary.
This watch was designed to assist Bentley in celebrating 100 years of luxury automobile excellence. During 2018, Breitling launched the B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green. The watch had a very unique green dial, and the timing was quite good as for the last 18 months or so, watch lovers have been experimenting with wearing green motif wristwatches. This new 100 years watch is done in 18k red gold, but also has a stainless steel variant as well.
The watches boast burl dials with black subdials. The chronograph counter is at the 3 o,clock, and the small seconds is at the 9 o’clock. These watches are powered via the Breitling in house Caliber 01 movement. This movement offers the watch a 70 hour power reserve. The movement can be viewed through the exhibition caseback having the Bentley logo. The 18k red gold variant has the engraving of ONE OF 200 on it, while the stainless steel variant has the engraving ONE OF 1000. The dial has a great white tachymeter and a black inner bezel, with a red tachymeter inscribed.
The Centenary Limited done in 18k red gold has brown leather strap with the stitching that matches the car seat stitching in a Bentley. The stainless steel variant is available with either the brown leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. These watches are COSC certified chronometers, and are extremely precise timepieces. The dials are made of wood that would be used inside the Bentley Continental GT. Dashboard wood to be more precise, and are quite beautiful. These new watches are already being praised around the globe for their design and craftsmanship. The stainless steel models have a price point of about $10,200, and to find the new prices for the red gold variant, please go to breitling.com. Thank you.
