When a watch lover thinks about MeisterSinger, it’s perfectly normal to consider the one hand only approach to watchmaking. It is what the firm is know for, and loved for by its legions of fans. With the new watch here, the Circularis Power Reserve, the company has created a new timepiece that is slightly more complicated than most of their models, but they have not forgotten about their minimalist look at the front and center of the watch. This is a timepiece that has won the very important German Design Council’s Award for year 2019.

This is a wonderful accomplishment, and considered to be a very prestigious honer among horologists in Germany. The award has serious weight, and is really helping the company garner attention for this new offering. In my opinion the dial is perfectly balanced. The thick single hand offers balance to itself, while at the same time the power reserve and date complications offset one another nicely. The circular look brings all of these elements together and helps to carry the elements to the rear of the watch where the owner can view the movement.

As for the movement, this watch is powered by the MSH02, which is an off shoot of the original MSH01. The MSH01 was the first award winner, so this movement has a history of winning awards. The members of the award committee are great fans of this watch movement, and we should be as well. This movement is a beautiful array of circles within circles, and the balance wheel with the gear tran are set well into circular plated.

This is further stressed with two barrels that give the watch its power reserve of 120 hours. For some people this will not be the watch they choose; simple because of the single hour hand. I understand perfectly how some people need to have a minutes hand on their watch. Yet ths watch is quite beautiful. The golden numerals stand out nicely in contrast with the dial, and the watch also comes in a version that boasts a golden bezel. If you see yourself not being driven by exact time in minutes, and want an award wining design in your watch, this is an excellent choice.

The case has a diameter of 43 millimeters. The water resistance is 50 meters, so i would just be content to have this watch be a land watch. The case is made of pure stainless steel, and is domed with a sapphire crystal in the front, as well as in the rear. The frequency of the watch is 4Hz, or 28,800 vph. Last but not least, the watch comes with an alligator strap having a double folding clasp. More information is available at Thanks and have a great day.
