The Slim d’Hermès Titane.

2019 is here now, and Hermes has decided to introduce a more casual model to its Slim d’Hermes watch collection. The watch is ultra thin, and comes in a grade 2 titanium case. The dial is anthracite, and has accents of Hermes orange on it. This is a watch that will appeals to watch lovers who care about serious design, and the name of this watch is the Titane.

The Slim d’Hermes collection was launched back in 2015, and has been one of the strongest of the brand’s watch models for men. These watches are somewhere in between the everyday watches, and the dress watches for men. The reason these watches are so popular is because they are simple, and they are so slim. The watch dials are time only, having hours and minutes centrally located, and with the running seconds in a subdial located at the 6 o’clock position.

The dial of the watches has unique typography. It was designed by Frenchman Philippe Apeloig, and really gives the Hermes brand its unique character. The dial has three parts to it. The chapter ring, which has cut out Arabic numerals. Then there is the snailed center having baton styled hands. Then there is the frosted small crystal seconds counter. Very unique indeed, and simple with beauty at the same time.
Dials on previous watches were monochromatic, but here Hermes is using hints of color that alter the character of the watches completely.

The watches are more sporty now, and have a more fum look to them. Of course the watch can still be used to go out to dinner, but they have improved upon the all business no play look of previous offerings. The very thin case is titanium, and has a lightweight feel to it. It is micro-blasted, and measures in at 39.5 millimeters in diameter. The overall look is circular, with a satin brushed appearance, having cool long lugs.

The watch is powered by the Caliber H1950, and it has a micro rotor. the movement is only 2,6 millimeters thick, and it has a frequency of 21,600 vph. The watch offers a power reserve of 42 hours, and also offers an exhibition caseback made of scratch resistant sapphire, allowing the owner to see the watch movement at work. The watch comes with an alligator strap done in matter graphite, and has that orange on the inner side that matches the orange on the dial perfectly. The buckle on the strap is done in the same
grade 2 titanium as the case, and the watch will be priced at $8,050.
